How do I network my computers so i can share printers?

I have a pc running vista and another running windows 7 using the same wireless network. I want to network them so i can then network printers. When i go to add a wireless device, they do not find each other. Can someone give me instructions on how to network them?

There’s no need to find the computers if both are already connected to the same wireless router. In a sense, they are already networked. What you need to do is plug the printer in one of the computers, and setup printer sharing on that computer. Both computers need to have the printer driver software installed first.

To setup printer sharing in Vista (if you decide to plug the printer on the Vista machine) -> http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727037.aspx
To setup printer sharing in Windows 7 (if you decide to plug the printer on the Win 7 machine) -> http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Share-a-printer

To add the shared printer to the other computer simply look for the printer on the network using Windows Explorer.

Are your printers connected to the network or are they just connected to a computer on the network?
It makes a difference. A network printer once recognized by the network can ce installed on any network computer by just installing the driver software for that printer on each computer.
Printers connected to computers on the network have to be Shared. This involve enabling file and printer sharing on one or all networked computers. Then installing the drivers for the shared printers on each user computer.

    Good Luck
